some of you may remember that the kids and i (and a family friend) were all training for the pear blossom together. that's coley and i on a three mile run the other day. The Winners

its pretty rare that i get a shot of all three of them that i love. but i love this one... we had been playing on the beach all day at camp pendleton and headed into downtown san diego for dinner. stick with me here if you can... a few days before christmas, i took the kids out looking at christmas lights. i don't remember exactly what time it was, but it was late and it was cold and it was dark. and when i slowed to a stop at the light on the freeway off-ramp by our house, i saw a homeless guy and his pup. i grabbed all the cash i had in my purse...
